Travel Planning Cancellations and Refunds
A clear overview of how cancellation, rescheduling and refund requests are handled for inquiry-led travel-planning services.
1. Before a session or service is confirmed
An inquiry or discussion does not, by itself, confirm a paid planning session or a travel booking. Before a paid service is confirmed, Pak Peaks will set out the agreed scope, deliverables, fee (if any), date and time, payment arrangements and applicable cancellation or rescheduling terms in writing. Please review that confirmation and ask questions before paying.
2. Requesting a cancellation or change
To request a cancellation or change, contact us through the Contact page and include the name used in the inquiry, scheduled date and relevant reference or correspondence. We will assess the request against the terms agreed for that specific service. A requested reschedule depends on availability and is not confirmed until we reply in writing.
3. Refund requests
If you paid for an agreed planning service and believe a refund is due, contact us with the payment date, service description and reason for the request. We will review the original confirmation, work already completed, any cancellation terms and applicable law, then respond. This page does not promise an automatic refund in every circumstance and does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. Travel bookings and third-party services
An itinerary or planning discussion is not the same as a confirmed booking with a hotel, transport operator, guide, airline or activity provider. If your arrangement includes third-party suppliers, their separate cancellation, amendment and refund terms may apply. Check these directly before payment and ensure the written confirmation identifies who receives payment and who is responsible for each service.
5. Changes caused by weather or access
Mountain weather, road closures, landslides, safety advisories and local restrictions may require a change to a planned route or activity. Any rebooking, refund or additional cost depends on the service provider’s terms, the written booking terms and applicable law. Travellers should avoid assuming that a weather-related change automatically creates a particular refund entitlement unless the agreed terms or law provide it.
6. How to help us review your request
- Include your name and contact details used for the original inquiry.
- Identify the service, travel dates and any booking or payment reference.
- Explain the change or refund being requested and attach relevant written confirmation or payment evidence, avoiding unnecessary sensitive information.
- Keep copies of written communications and any response confirming a decision.
7. Contact
For cancellation, rescheduling or refund questions, use the Pak Peaks Contact page. The terms agreed in your particular service confirmation and applicable law take precedence where this summary is incomplete or inconsistent. This page should be reviewed by a qualified local adviser against the actual payment and fulfilment process before being treated as definitive legal advice.
